Shaker Arts Council (SHAC), is celebrating its 21st birthday (“Shac-aversary”).
To celebrate, the organization with a mission to enrich the cultural fabric of Shaker Heights by establishing the arts as a vibrant and integral part of the community, is inviting local artists to participate in a two-day exhibit called “Celebrating Shaker Artists.”
The exhibit will accompany SHAC fundraising festivities on Friday, May 17 and a free family-friendly public party on Saturday, May 18 at Edwins Too in Shaker Square. Artwork may be made available for sale by the artist, with 70% of the sales going to the artist and 30% to SHAC.
The SHAC exhibit is open to artists 18 years or older who live or work in the Shaker
Heights school district or are members of the Shaker Arts Council. Application fees for one submission are $10 for SHAC members, $12 for non-members. Fees are $20 for members, $25 for non-members for two or three submissions.
Applications and entry payments must be submitted by Tuesday, April 30 at
