For the third year in a row, the Rustic Grill at StoneWater in Highland Heights is once making its homemade Cleveland Glögg—the Swedish version of a warm spiced mulled tawny port with orange peel, cloves, and cardamom with golden raisins and cinnamon sticks.

Mulled wines have many forms, including gluhwein (German) and wassail (English). Glogg is the Swedish, yuletide version.

Sisters and Rustic Grill owners/operators Lindsey, Kathryn, and Whitney Neidus first introduced Cleveland Glögg in 2021 and it became an instant hit—selling out repeatedly during the holidays.

“We are very excited to welcome the return of Cleveland Glögg this holiday season,” said director of marketing and business development Lindsey Neidus in a statement.  “Seeing everyone’s enthusiasm for the drink makes it more and more exciting for us to bring it back every year. We are thrilled that the tradition can continue this season.”

Cleveland Glögg can be purchased by the bottle to take home or enjoy a glass in the restaurant. Bottles are $29 and there is a 10% discount for a case of six bottles.

“From gifts to holiday parties, there are so many ways to enjoy Cleveland Glogg,” says Neidus. “It’s no wonder that the bottles sell out several times each year,”

Orders for Cleveland Glögg can be placed in person, One Club Drive, Highland Heights, or over the phone, (440) 461-4653.
