The Salvation Army Miles Park Corps and the Greater Cleveland Food Bank are continuing their annual partnership to distribute 12,000 pounds of fresh produce each month to residents in the Miles Park neighborhood.
Captain Steven Thomas, commanding Corps officer for the Miles Park Corps, will oversee the distribution this Friday, July 28 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., or while supplies last, at the Corp, 4139 E. 93rd Street.
The Salvation Army served more than 200 people at each of its past six monthly produce giveaways in the Miles Park area. Individuals each took home a box filled with a week’s worth of fresh produce.
Residents will need to provide proof of Cleveland residency to participate in the distribution.
Future distributions in the neighborhood will be Friday, Aug. 25, Friday, Sept. 22, and Friday, Oct. 27.
