Make your way through the snow and cold to Waterloo Arts in Collinwood tomorrow, Saturday, Jan. 24, and let your creative juices flow to create decorations for Brite Winter 2026!

Community members will be using DayGlo paint to fill in life-sized figures that will be part of a large installation at Brite Winter. Be prepared to get messy—participants should wear clothes and shoes they don’t mind getting paint on.

There is no cost to participate and light refreshments will be provided. No registration is required, just drop in any time between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. All ages are welcome, but children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

The free workshop offers a behind-the-scenes look at how Brite Winter will come to life by Saturday, Feb. 21 in its new location, the Waterloo Arts District, moving from its previous home in the Flats.

Each year, professional and amateur artists and volunteers spend countless hours creating vibrant and elaborate visuals for the low cost, accessible art and music event occurring during Cleveland’s darkest hours of the year—the period between New Year’s Eve and St. Patrick’s Day.

Saturday’s event kicks off the Brite Winter workshop series. Waterloo Arts, 15605 Waterloo Road, Cleveland 44110.

There are also workshops next Saturday, Jan. 31 and Saturday, Feb. 7 at IngenuityLabs, 5401 Hamilton Ave., Cleveland 44114.
