Last week, we hit that certain time of year in Cleveland—when cabin fever starts setting in and the urge to get out on the town becomes overwhelming.
Luckily, the annual cultural arts and music festival Brite Winter came to the rescue in the Waterloo Arts District on Saturday, Feb. 21, offering the chance to discover new music and art while enjoying the community.
For more than 15 years, and in four Cleveland neighborhoods, the festival has welcomed thousands of guests and showcased hundreds of bands and artists—and its revelers have thrived and become one with the honored community, partying in temperatures ranging from eight degrees to 69 degrees.
FreshWater photographer Reuben Kutash was quick to don his Brite Winter pom-pom knit hat, grab his camera, and huddle by the fire pits when he wasn’t taking photos or dancing to the music. He says that just as Brite Winter was ending late on Saturday evening, the snow began to fall again.
