The Work and Reentry EXPERIENCE film stillWatch Party: “Work & Reentry Experience”
Last June, international jazz artist, Modern Warrior LIVE creator, and Cleveland native Dominick Farinacci partnered with Towards Employment to work with four storytellers from Cleveland who have been involved with the criminal justice system and faced barriers to finding jobs and careers.
Greg, Torie, Linda, and Daryl shared their stories of overcoming the many challenges to get to work—justice system involvement, family tragedy, and finding confidence and assurance. The heart-wrenching, inspirational, and joyous words of the four storytellers were supported using music, instrumentals, vocals, lights, and images during the live Work & Reentry Experience.
The June world-premiere was made possible by a grant from the Char and Chuck Fowler Family Foundation and was professionally filmed by Farinacci.
The public is invited to the free Work & Reentry Experience world premiere watch party on Sunday, Oct. 22 at 4 p.m. in the Greg L. Reese Performing Arts Center in the East Cleveland Public Library, 14101 Euclid Ave., East Cleveland. Tickets are free but registration is required.
