Winter spree: Cleveland Orchestra to perform fundraising concert

The Cleveland Orchestra is already in the festive spirit and getting ready for its first-ever Winter Spree fundraiser on Tuesday, Dec. 5 at 5 p.m. at Severance Music Center.

In addition to raising money for the Orchestra, Winter Spree is designed to bring new audiences to Severance Music Center and highlight the 20 local and artisanal vendors from Northeast Ohio who will be featured at the event.

The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. (5 p.m. for early access Cedar Ticket holders) with a splashy cocktail reception, live music, and a boutique shopping experience that will tempt all the senses.

Vendors include Appletree Books, Cleveland Whiskey, Friends of The Cleveland Orchestra, Hazelmade, Junior League of Cleveland, Lizzie’s Bakery, Marchant Manor Cheese, Marika Gems, Nate Cotterman Glass, Sophie La Gourmande, Refined Gatherings, Relevant Boutique, and the Cleveland Orchestra Store.

Then at 7 p.m.. the concert will feature a 30-minute performance by the Orchestra, featuring selections of winter-themed classical pieces. Selections include Rimsky-Korsakov’s Dance of the Tumblers from “The Snow Maiden,” Tchaikovsky’s Waltz of the Flowers from “The Nutcracker,” along with other holiday favorites.

The concert will be followed by a three-course dinner at 7:30 p.m. in the iconic Bogomolny-Kozerefski Grand Foyer at Severance Music Center.

Tickets are $200 for Pine tickets, $350 for Cedar premium tickets; and table sponsorships cost between $2,500 and $10,000. Proceeds from this fundraising event benefit The Cleveland Orchestra.
